Child Mortality Rates
Taiwan has always had a low mortality rate compared to other countries and child mortality has steadily decreased over time but had a slight increase between 1993 and 1999.In 1990 there were 9 children out of 1000 born that died but in 2012 there were 5.4 children that died per thousand born.Taiwan has not met the Millennium Development goal of reducing the child mortality rate by two thirds.

C02 Emissions
Taiwan's C02 emissions have increased largely from 1896 to 2011.In 1896 there was only 0.0014 tonnes of C02 emissions per person but as electricity usage went up so did C02 emissions.In 2011 there were 11 tonnes of C02 emissions which is a massive increase from 1896.The Co2 emissions have increased because of Taiwan's booming trade industry that has built up over time.

The income per person has slowly increased from 1800 to 2013.In the early 1800's the income per person was $871 per year and continued to increase until the income per person was $41167 per year in 2013.The income per person had a sharp decrease from $1982 per to$647 per year in the mid 1930's to the mid 1940's because of the second Sino-Japanese War.
